Instruction for horse and rider working on the spin.
In this series, I evaluate and instruct one of my members who wants to train his horse to spin.
This is this rider’s first serious attempt at trying to train a horse to do reining maneuvers.
Considering he’s never ridden a reining horse before, he’s doing better than I expected.
Of course, he’s making a bunch of mistakes but that’s okay. Mistakes are simply a part of the learning process.
I’m impressed this man is serious about improving and is willing to endure my constructive criticism.
I truly admire that.
I’m willing to bet… give this guy a little more time and he’ll have it down pat.
Be sure to watch all three parts as there is something to learn in each one.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The majority of people who are reading this right now, believe there is no way they make the mistakes the man being evaluated in this video is making.
Let me assure you… you probably are (or a variation of them).
Just like this man, you are simply not aware of it.
My 30 years of giving thousands of lessons has taught me the majority of riders share the same mistakes. There are very few exceptions.
So… if you are serious about improving… I sincerely urge you… put any ego aside and take a long look at whats happening here. Self evaluation is the first step to improvement.
